Wisdom teeth removal
Wisdom teeth are the third set of molars in back of your mouth and typically erupt before age of 25. Wisdom teeth extraction recommended when they are impacted, coming at the wrong angle, patient's jaw does not have enough room to accomodate for the teeth or the teeth have cavities. Many complications might arise by leaving misplaced wisdom teeth such as swollen gum over wisdom teeth called pericoronitis, infected wisdom teeth or cavities on surrounding teeth. Wisdom teeth are infamous for throwing your bite off by pushing neighbouring teeth. Wisdom teeth removal would be more complicated with age, therefore it is recommended to get wisdom teeth evaluated as early as 15 year of age.
Tooth extraction
There are many situations where tooth extraction is recommended such as a cracked tooth that is not restorable or an irreversible infected tooth that has severe mobility. Surgical tooth extraction commonly done with only local anesthetics , However in case of severe anxiety , sedation is always an option. Following the post op instruction would reduce the possibility of complications such as bleeding and dry socket.
Dental implant
Teeth Implants are a foundation for replacement teeth and function as replacement tooth roots made of titanium. The implant is similar to the shape of a screw and is placed in the jawbone and then allowed to set and bond with the natural bone. A connector or abutment is then placed on top of the dental implant, this connector will hold and support the crown.
